Beauty!
Most people would get tired of painting the same face over and over but not me! Especially when the face in question is that of THE Super Sarah.
The first in the series was my wedding gift to Sarah and her husband Richard. The second was Sarah's Valentine's Day gift to Richard. It was a great combo, her love of peanut butter sandwiches and her husband! Finally, the third painting was her gift to herself. Her instructions were to make her look as crazy as possible... I think I captured the crazy just fine.

Everybody loves surprises!
Recently when Laurah and Victoria celebrated thier birthday, I decided I would make them surprise birthday cards cause I'm cool like that. They're twins so they get the same colours cause I bet their mom used to put them in matching outfits when they were little...That's cute.
When you put them side by side, it looks like Laurah is giving Tori the stink eye. And rightfully so.

Random awesome person/place/thing of the week AND exciting news!!!
Wow! Have I got some big news for you. Most people know that I have been working side by side with my good friend creating some pretty cool stuff under the name DiPoe. I give you exhibit A:
Well my friends, as of 2 days ago, DiPoe has become an official pertnership. That's right! Myself and the talented Francesco Giovane have joined forces to become 2 halves of one great artsy fartsy pie and boy does it taste delicious!
To celebrate the occasion, the DiPoe team went to lunch.... Which brings me to the random awesome person/place/thing of the week. May I present to you Yang's Tepanyaki & Sushi. Not only do they serve the best sushi on the face of the planet, but the staff and atmosphere are delightful.
Have a look at the usual DiPoe meal.
To check out what else Yang's has to offer, visit their site at www.yangsushi.com
To check out all the crazy stuff going on at DiPoe, check out the blog at itsdipoe.blogspot.com

Random awesome person/place/thing of the week!
I come across some pretty awesome stuff in my daily adventures so I’ve decided to share them with everyone!
My first random awesome person/place/thing is…. SUPER SARAH!
Some fun facts about Sarah:
- she’s hot stuff
- her new favourite colour is teal (it used to be purple)
- she likes smoked salmon and crackers for lunch
- she has a cat (tyra), a dog (goober) and a husband (Richard)
- she is the nicest person I know (besides myself ;) )
- the mc at her wedding was a pirate!!
- she buys all my paintings
And let us not forget the most important fact about Super Sarah:
-she is an amazing hair stylist!! I know this because she does my hair and that’s why it always looks as good as it does.
If you’re looking for a new funky hair stylist, she’s the girl for you!! I don’t have any pictures of her work but I do have pictures of her, which should be enough to make you love her and want her to do your hair.
To book an appointment with Sarah, call the Cerilli Hair and Esthetics Salon today at 905-508-9400 OR stop in at 10520 Yonge St., Unit 43 in Richmond Hill. You’ll be happy you did!

Sick.
Having been so sick for over a week, I haven't been able to get any work done. Instead I've decided to share a little tip with you:
Also, you may or may not have read in an email that applying generous amounts of Vick's vaporub to the soles of your feet before bed will calm a cough overnight. That is FALSE!
Stay tuned for more helpful tips from Artwork by Laura.

I have gained some WIZDUM!
Well, here you have it my dears!
It took me a whoooole day to get this blog to look almost perfect. There are a few things that I would change but with my limited knowledge of html, that is just not possible. It’ll be like your best friend who has those few things about them that drive you half crazy but you love them just the same… To their face at least. Then secretly in your head you’re thinking of ways to make them stop doing whatever it is that drives you half crazy but eventually you realize there’s no way you can fix it. So you just accept it and move on.
So here’s me moving on…
For my first entry with the new fancy shmancy blog, I want to introduce you to something else fancy shmancy.
I know you’re looking for some sweet new threads to add to your wardrobe and have I got the thing for you! Its called Wizdum Designs Inc.
Creators Michelle and Emily have come up with some of the spiffiest T-shirt designs you will feast your eyes on. Not only do Wizdum T's feature a family of cute characters, they also offer a section of "That's me!" shirts that basically let everyone know who you are without even saying a word! There is something there for everyone. Trust me!

How to...
Wow! Two posts in one night! This is big stuff.
I read somewhere that people like step-by-step, how to things and since I like to keep the people happy, I present you with:
How to wrap a baby shower gift so that it looks pretty at the last second! (pictures included)
Step 2: Lay down a long piece of plastic wrap. Make sure its long enough to wrap everything up with extra for a decorative "puff" at the top. Begin arranging random baby stuff so that it looks nice. This may take some time.
Step 3: It is not necessary to make EVERY piece of random baby stuff visible...They'll see it when they open it.
Step 4: Once everything is in
place, gather up the plastic stuff and tape up the top and the extra plastic stuff at the sides to keep all the random baby junk inside and in place.
Step 5: Looks good! *thumbs up* BUT WAIT!!! THERE'S MORE!
Step 6: To complete your masterpiece, find yourself some pretty ribbon to match the rest of the random baby stuff and tie a nice little bow. This will cover up the tape you used to hold the whole thing together AND make it look like a real gift basket type thing. And now you're ready for the big party!
Join me next time when I show you how to make glue mountains. Fun and decorative all at the same time!

NEW NEW NEW!!!!!
Its a new year, the blog has new colours and I'm making a new post! I took some time off but now I'm back!!
So here's the plan, I have a bunch of canvas, paints and some big ideas. I learned that people don't just want to read about me, which I find hard to believe, but I've decided to give in a little and share the spotlight. In the future, not only will I be posting my works, completed AND in progress, but I will be sharing the interesting things I find on the internets and around.
I hope you're ready, cause I know I am!
